'The Branch that Broke'

Another two weeks and the apples would have been ready for harvest.(It's important to let them stay a little bit longer to let the fruit reach it's peak sweetness.) Unfortunately it was not meant to be. The next morning I found the lovely branch of apples broken and barely hanging from the tree.As a person who cares for her plants this hurt.I had no choice but to take the branch off.As I looked at the branch lying on my counter, while the gardener in me was disappointed, the artist in me saw a beautiful subject that was waiting to be painted. And that's the story of how the branch made its way to my painting.
